As humanity is on the brinks of extinction. A female astronaut (Mae Jemison) travels to planet (Venus) to seek a new place humanity can begin a new life. Mae is the first female African American Astronaut to travel to space in 1992. She is a fearless, beautiful, and prominent women of the upper echelon society chosen to be the sole astronaut on behalf of humanity. We find her embarking on this journey of discovery in her most elegant form. This project explores the futuristic ideology of life beyond earth whilst displaying the beauty of a woman in an editorial fashion lens through couture garments exemplifying a nuanced take on astronauts attire. Pointing to the main juxtaposition of Beauty in Desolation.

As humanity is on the brinks of extinction. A female astronaut (Mae Jemison) travels to planet (Venus) to seek a new place humanity can begin a new life. Mae is the first female African American Astronaut to travel to space in 1992. She is a fearless, beautiful, and prominent women of the upper echelon society chosen to be the sole astronaut on behalf of humanity. We find her embarking on this journey of discovery in her most elegant form. This project explores the futuristic ideology of life beyond earth whilst displaying the beauty of a woman in an editorial fashion lens through couture garments exemplifying a nuanced take on astronauts attire. Pointing to the main juxtaposition of Beauty in Desolation.

During this time of Black History month, I took the time to reflect on how women were represented in our culture. I wanted to create a project that was different than what has been done before, specifically contrary to how women are highlighted in our current generation. Women have been over-sexualized and been perceived as purely sex objects. However, I believe that women hold a much deeper power which is being the anchor of the house in a variety of ways. After connecting with my brother @piokky, he presented this project that highlights a specific time in African/Black history whereby women were regarded as the intercessors (prayer warriors), which resonated with me because some are still referenced as such in many societies today.

Without much ado, in collaboration with my brother @piokky, and directed/styled/produced by @hausofvzn I’m pleased to present Project- 𝑺𝑼𝑵𝑫𝑨𝒀 𝑺𝑪𝑯𝑶𝑶𝑳 ⛪️.

The journey to the ENERGY SOURCE is a tumultuous one. You gave many trials, tribulations and obstacles. As you navigate and climb through the tiers of growth drawing closer and closer to the source. You adjust as you weave and learn through this process of life symbolized in the fluid body movements. But once arriving you have been pruned to be able to take on the new level of grace. Therefore, by drawing from the source as your strength you’re light 💡 now shines bright and you begin to illuminate the darkness around you and shine bright as a trailblazer in the your respective fields.

How much more would you change the trajectory of your history if you tapped into the source earlier in our journey of life. How much further would we be on our journeys?

The Source is the point of contact, the starting point at which an individual or object can draw ENERGY (the power required for sustained physical or mental activity) from.
Without an energy source we may struggle to find the energy to press on the journey that we have embarked on. Therefore, by being connected to the source we can draw from a continuous place and no longer be drained by environmental circumstances.

Find your why, stay connected to the source, and change your circumstances.
